TRC Talent is looking for a Shipping Lead for our client in Kennesaw, GA!

Job Summary:

The Shipping lead is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all outbound shipments. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with computer systems, and a comprehensive understanding of various shipping modes, both domestic and international. The ideal candidate will also be adept at general warehouse operations, including operating a forklift, order picking, packing, and performing cycle counts, and maintaining a safe working environment. 

Job Details:

• Monday-Friday, 8AM-5:30PM
• $25/hr
• Temp to Hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Process, package, and ship orders accurately and on time while following company procedures.
• Select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods for each order, including parcel (FedEx, UPS, DHL) and freight/LTL shipments.
• Prepare all necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments, such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, SLIs, and customs forms.
• Track and trace shipments, providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and on-time delivery.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials while maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Safely operate forklifts (stand-up and sit-down) and other material-handling equipment for loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and general warehouse organization to support overall operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
