Overview

People Advisor role at A.P. Moller - Maersk. Supports the company's People Strategy by providing administrative support for the Employee Experience Organization (EEO). Executes core HR processes within the given functional scope, maintains employee records, and ensures tasks meet regulatory requirements. Acts as a culture champion and promotes a positive employee experience.

Essential Functions
  • Support People Partners in managing HR processes including onboarding and paperwork for new colleagues, promotions/transfers/terminations, compliance, reporting, performance appraisals, compensation reviews, and employee relations as needed.
  • Assist with submission of forms for updating payroll (ADP) and HRIS (Workday) for Hybrid teams or teams not in HRIS (new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.).
  • Maintain I-9 files; audit and guide completion and verification of I-9 documentation; manage E-Verify access.
  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee conversion of temp-to-hire associates, coordinate with agency partners, monitor performance, and coordinate with leaders.
  • Initiate new and renewal immigration and relocation tasks in the APRO system.
  • Guide employees to answers about HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies to maintain compliance.
  • Perform special projects and run ad hoc reports as assigned.
  • Research HR topics through professional resources (e.g., SHRM, Conference Board, Employers Association).
  • Cascade key announcements and general HR communications for teams/offices.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. Performed job-related duties as specified by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience (highly preferred).
  • At least two years related experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Good time management with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and potentially stressful environment.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of HR information.

Job Type

Full Time. This role is On-Site 5 days per week and may provide remote support to other sites within the region.

$26 - $28 hourly
