Job Description

A school district in Chester, PA is seeking a dedicated Reading Specialist for an elementary school setting. This temporary contract position for the current school year (CSY) offers the opportunity to support young learners in developing essential literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted reading intervention and instruction to students requiring additional support.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized reading plans.
• Assess student reading levels and monitor progress regularly.
• Utilize research-based strategies to address diverse learning needs.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss student growth and instructional adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate with parents as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Reading Specialist or equivalent.
