TRC Talent Solutions is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our client in Smyrna, GA

OVERVIEW:

This position is primarily responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse in an accurate and timely manner. This position is also responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and supplies. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and simple plumbing, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and receiving
• Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Oversee and perform receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
• Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization, initiating improvements as necessary.
• Implement and oversee security, safety, and operational procedures.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
• Manage stock control, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of goods.
• Generate reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.)
• Responsible for performing physical inventory and cycle counting using barcode technology.
• Responsible for accurate inventory counts.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
• Implement 5S activities and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Implements continuous operational improvements.
• Effectively communicates and engages with internal and external customers using e-mail, digital chat systems and verbal.
• Assists in interviewing and hiring qualified workers.
• Resolves conflicts that may arise between employees.
• Responsible for all warehouse shipping and receiving supplies.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Complies with the company's policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have associate’s degree in business management or a related field prefers 5 plus years of experience in warehouse and logistic, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of the following competencies in technical knowledge, critical thinking skills, communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented.
• Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
• Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
• Capable of managing multiple projects.
• Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
• Forklift trainer
